Art Exhibit “Zamboanga: History and Culture of Southern Philippines” by Maria Murga

Ambassador Philippe J. Lhuillier hosted a vernissage of the art exhibit of Filipino-Spanish artist Maria Mari Murga entitled “Zamboanga: History and Cultures of the Southern Philippines” at the Nicolás Salmerón Cultural Center in Chamartín, Madrid on 19 March 2025.

Councilor President Yolanda Estrada Madrid welcomed the attendees to the exhibit highlighting the partnership of the Embassy and the District of Chamartín. Ms. Murga explained her journey to Southern Philippines and her interactions with the local people, which inspired her art.

The art exhibit commemorates National Women’s Month and will be open to the public from 20 March 2025 until 29 March 2025 at the Centro Cultural Nicolás Salmerón, C. de Mantuano, 51, Chamartín, 28002 Madrid.
