Ambassador Philippe J. Lhuillier met with Captain Stanley Ng, President and COO of Philippine Airlines on 11 February 2025 to discuss the possible expansion of flight routes and the Air Services Agreement between Spain and the Philippines.
The Air Transport Agreement between the Philippines and Spain was signed on 12 June 2018 with the purpose of updating and adapting the legal framework on air links between the two countries to European regulations. Ambassador Lhuillier and Spanish Minister of Public Work and Transport José Luis Ábalos led the signing of the agreement in a ceremony held in Madrid.
The agreement aimed to promote an international aviation system which offers fair and equal opportunities for both countries.
