The Filipino community in Madrid celebrated the 118th Philippine Independence Day with a program with the Tahanan Filipino Chaplaincy of Madrid at the Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Espino in the afternoon.
A youth-led parade going to the church marked the beginning of the program.
This was followed by a dance number of Paypay de Manila by the members of Asociación de Mujeres Filipinas (AMFIL), and a song number by Bro. Rheadh Dela Torre.
The afternoon program was followed by a Thanksgiving Mass to celebrate and commemorate Philippine Independence.
