
The Philippine Embassy in partnership with the Migrant Workers Office-Madrid celebrated International Women’s Day with the Filipino community through “Kumusta ka, Juana”, a forum on women and migration.
Forum “Kumusta ka, Juana” panelists include Dr. Sharon Dumo who spoke on reproductive and cardiovascular health of women, Dr. Odette Ruaguip tackled dental and oral health concerns, and Mr. Rommel Abellar spoke on financial literacy. Consul Dyan Kristine Miranda-Pastrana discussed programs and services that address gender and women issues, while. Labor Attaché Angela Librado-Trinidad discussed the issues on women and migration.
Ambassador Philippe J. Lhuillier highlighted his commitment to “help in whatever I can to advocate for you, to fight with you for equality and empowerment”.
More than 120 Filipino women and men from Madrid, Tenerife and Ibiza and other parts of Spain participated in the activity.
