The Philippine Embassy in Madrid will start accepting donations in kind for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan from 18 November 2013 to 28 November 2013.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, the following items are needed by the victims:
- Food
- Water/Water purifiers
- Temporary shelters (tents, tarpaulins)
- Blankets, pillows, towels, etc.
- Hygiene kits
Please note that only medicines with English labels and are not due to expire within 6 months will be accepted. The donation of used clothing is strictly prohibited.
The donations will be sent through LBC and the LBC Foundation. Upon arrival in Manila, the donations will be directly turned over by the LBC Foundation to the Philippine Red Cross.
