01 August 2011- Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas led the oath taking of the Officers of the First Filipino Catholic Community in Costa de Sol on 31 July 2011 in Marbella.
The Organization gathered for the first time Filipinos of the Catholic faith from the cities and towns of Costa del Sol, through the support and encouragement of Rev. Fr. Eugene S. Elevera.
Ambassador Salinas was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Isabelita T. Salinas, who gave a spiritual talk to the officers and members of the said organization.
Costa del Sol covers the city of Malaga and the towns of Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, San Pedro Alcántara, Estepona, Manilva, Vélez-Málaga, Rincon de la Victoria, Nerja, Torrox and Casares.
