Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas Meets with Filipino Community Leaders in Malaga

Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas, together with Philippine Honorary Consular Officer to Malaga, Rosa Agüera and Mrs. Isabelita T. Salinas, held a meeting with the leaders of the Filipino Community in Malaga on 30 March 2016, before the inauguration ceremony of the monument in honor of Dr. Jose Rizal.

Ambassador Salinas expressed his gratitude to the Filipinos in Malaga and in Costa del Sol for their support for the programs of the Philippine Embassy in Madrid and the Consulate Office in Malaga. He also took the opportunity to brief them about the mechanics on Overseas Voting and strongly encouraged them to participate in the national elections while at the same time, appealing to every FilCom leader to extend assistance in disseminating information regarding the Overseas Voting and to motivate Filipinos to cast their votes.

Mrs. Isabelita Salinas also expressed her appreciation to the FilCom leaders for organizing a trip to Madrid to attend the mass of Cardinal Tagle which was held on 3 April 2016.

After the said meeting, the FilCom leaders together with their members proudly witnessed the unveiling of the monument of Jose Rizal.
