2GO Group Inc., a Philippine company engaged in the provision of integrated transportation services, was among the companies that received the Trofeo Internacional del Transporte 2016 (“International Transport Award 2016”) from the Global Trade Leaders’ Club last March 02, 2016. The event was held at the Hotel Melia Castilla in Madrid, Spain, and was attended by the winning companies from Greece, Congo, Ghana, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Montenegro, Spain, Senegal, Ireland, Cameroon and Mexico. The 2GO Group Inc. was the only winner from the Philippines and from Asia.
The Global Trade Leaders’ Club (GTLC) describes itself as “an association of leading businesses which gathers more than 7500 members from 95 different countries, all working in the sectors of production and services. The main aim of this association is to promote trade exchanges and human relationships amongst businessmen from all over the world, focusing specifically on SMEs (Small & Medium-sized Businesses) and without discarding international companies.” 1
According to the GLTC, the International Transport Award was created “to distinguish and stimulate companies which belong to this very important field of activity. “
Mr. Stephen Rey Tagud, 2Go Group Inc.’s Senior Vice President/Passage Business Commercial Officer, received the trophy on behalf of the company.
