Mrs. Isabelita T. Salinas delivers a message after the Holy Mass at the Nuestra Señora del Espino
The Philippine Embassy in Madrid offered a Holy Mass on Sunday, 08 March 2015, at the Nuestra Señora del Espino in celebration of International Women´s Day.
After the Holy Mass, Mrs. Isabelita T. Salinas, spouse of Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas, delivered a message which focused on Filipina overseas workers. As a mother herself, Mrs. Salinas stated her appreciation of the strength of Filipina women and their deep sacrifice as they leave their families to work abroad. Mrs. Salinas underscored their willingness to deal with the pain of separation from their families in order to provide for and secure their families’ future. She also brought smiles on the faces of the church-goers when she shared anecdotes on the many positive attributes of Filipinas.
