Consular Outreach Mission to Bilbao

The Philippine Embassy in Madrid is pleased to announce that it will conduct a consular outreach mission in Bilbao on Sunday, 01 July 2012 from 9 am – 2 pm and 3 – 7 pm at the Centro de Gobelaurre, Romo, Las Arenas, Getxo.

Services to be Rendered:

  • Philippine passport renewal / issuance
  • Notarial and translation services
  • Reports of Births and Marriages
  • NBI Clearance processing
  • Oath-taking of former Filipinos under the Dual Citizenship Act (5 pm on Saturday)
  • Registration of Filipinos for Overseas Absentee Voting

Passport Services

The application for Philippine passport is strictly by appointment only.  The Consular Team can only allot appointments to 250 passport applicants.

In view of this limited number of application slots and to expedite processing, applicants are advised to APPLY FOR AN APPOINTMENT SLOT by sending an email to the Embassy at passport@philembassymadrid.com

Those applicants who are not able to secure appointments cannot be accommodated at the site.

Approved applications will be confirmed via email.  Only applications with complete requirements will be processed.

The final list of all applicants with confirmed appointments will be posted on the Embassy’s website by 28 June 2012.

Overseas Absentee Voting

Applicants who have not yet registered to vote for the 2013 National Elections may register to vote.  Please bring one (1) photocopy of your Philippine passport.

Notarial and Translation Services

Applicants who wish to have their NSO-issued birth and marriage certificates or NBI clearance certificates translate may mail their documents to the Embassy for translation and may pick them up at the site.

The fee is 25 euros per document and payment may be made through Giro Postal, payable to Embajada de Filipinas.

Documents for translation must be received by the Embassy not later than 27 June 2012 for pick-up at the site.

The Consular Team will accept documents for translation at the site but these documents cannot be released on the spot and will instead be mailed to the applicant with the corresponding postage fee chargeable to the applicant.

Reports of Birth and Marriage

The report of birth is a requirement for the issuance of a Philippine passport for a child born to Filipino parents in Spain.

Oath-taking of former Filipinos under the Dual Citizenship Act

The requirements for dual citizenship may be found at https://www.philembassymadrid.com/dual-citizenship.

The application together with the supporting documents and photographs must be mailed to the Embassy not later than 27 June 2012.  Applicants with approved dual citizenship applications will be notified of the oath-taking ceremony which will take place at 5 pm on Sunday, 01 July 2012.  Applicants are requested to arrive at least 30 minutes before the oath-taking ceremony.
