Consul Abiog mentioned that Dr. Rizal, if he were alive, would have been one with present-day Filipinos in advocating good governance and transparency in all levels of government.
Don Manuel Troitinio Pelaz a member of the KRMC and a presiding officer of the District Council Villa de Vallecas also delivered brief remarks. Present during the event were officers and staff of the embassy and its attached agencies, officers and members of the KRMC, and the Filipino community.
